Silly Saboteurs!

Hello dearies!
Well, I have apparently annoyed someone. EXCELLENT!!
Those of you who are regular visitors my notice that my RSS subscription button has vanished from the blog. That is because I wrote a post called Witch’s Walk that so annoyed someone that they hacked the blog and inserted a whole bunch of gabble in the RSS feed for that particular post. That means that those of you who have been receiving the feed would also receive a boatload of junk. Nasty!
And of course, all following feeds were blocked.
For now, I have removed the feed. I am also now taking steps to make the blog more secure, apparently a necessity to protect it from those who suffer from overwhelming insecurities, and other sub-human life forms. I apologize for any inconvenience that this causes, but I’d prefer that my blog not send you unwanted adverts!
Additionally, if you wish, you may subscribe to the newsletter at the links to ‘Witchcraft 101′. As that is run through a professional service, it should be more secure for my readers.
I hope that all of you are relaxing in a post-Beltaine glow!
I’ll be back soon with more goodies, as soon as I can stand up….
Blessed Be,
Marie Angeli
A SINGLE LIGHT
by Marie Angeli on Mar.21, 2011, under emergency, philosophy, social remedies
A few days ago, I made a statement in one of my posts that I feel bears looking at. I was speaking about doing ritual for Japan, and that I felt that the scope of the disaster merited community ritual, rather than individual working.
This was not meant as an opinion that we should avoid working for Japan’s crisis as individuals.
On the contrary, we are taught that the light of one candle banishes the darkness. The power of an individual is limited only by their understanding.
Rather, I was speaking about balance. The Japan crisis is a tragedy that is happening on a community, even a world, level. It seems that a response by a community to a community balances this series of events. Indeed we are seeing a reflection of this in physical reality when we see the collectives of crisis groups that are responding to the disaster.
There have been several posts on a pagan activist blog, Pagan in Paradise, that speak about the response effort led by its author Peter Dybing, to raise money for Doctors Without Borders. There is a link there to the Pagan Fund, which as of this posting has reached $23,777. This is 80% of the way towards a goal of $30,000.
Please visit Pagan in Paradise. I highly recommend the blog for its social activism as well as the opportunity for pagan community.
Thank you dears.
Blessed Be,
Marie Angeli
Friends: I’ve just come from the Japan Earthquake Animal Rescue and Support donation site. Please consider adding this site to your giving as well. I’ve mentioned them before. Due to contributions by generous contributors, their donation levels have reached $358,798 as of this posting. As one of the commentators has said about the animal victims of the crisis, “…they won’t survive without you.” -M.A.
